The following represents Veritas Collegiate Academy's graduation requirements after successful completion of the 8th grade. We are offering the high school student only one type of diploma:

The College Prep. Diploma This program will assist those who definitely are planning a college

education. If students fail a required course, they must make it up in summer school:

-Omnibus (History and Literature): 8 credits

-Mathematics: 4 credits

(Series to include Algebra I, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, AP Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB / BC,

AP Statistics, Calculus III-Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra)

-Laboratory Sciences: 4 credits

(Series to include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Anatomy & Physiology, AP Chemistry, AP

Physics, AP Biology, AP Anatomy & Physiology, AP Psychology, AP Environmental Science)

-Rhetoric: 1 credits

-Thesis: 2 credits

(Series to include Junior Thesis and Senior Thesis)

-Art: 1 credit

-Music: 1 credit

-PE: 2 credits (NOTE: *gained through participating in our Varsity sports program)

-Foreign Language: 4 credits

-Other Electives (including Writing 10 and AP): 8 credits

Total of 35 Credits Minimum to Graduate

Additional requirements:

â–ª All candidates for graduation must be in good standing with administration and faculty in

relation to academics, conduct and character.

â–ª Students must complete 80 hours of approved community service / Internship for each

year of high school enrollment at Veritas Collegiate Academy.

â–ª All prospective graduates should successfully complete the Scholastic Achievement Test

(SAT) or the ACT and have scores on file in the main office before receiving a diploma

regardless of

their plans for college.

â–ª All students are required to graduate with a minimum GPA of 2.0 (C) on a 4.0 scale

2021 Requirements-Beginning Fall of 2021 with the Class of 2025, The following prescribed

courses will be offered and required:

AP Course Requirements (Starting 2021): All Veritas Graduates, starting with 9th grade, will

complete, in addition to the normal course load, at minimum, 7 AP level courses.

7 AP Course Minimum Requirement:
